Hi Uncle Steve, Another restaurant in the books and it was a pleasurable surprise. Edge is the steakhouse in the Four Seasons hotel that also serves as the hotel restaurant. Among the many (many) steakhouses in the greater downtown area, it's both one of the oldest and generally considered near the bottom of the pack. Perhaps with this is mind, the powers that be brought in a highly regarded chef earlier this year to remake and improve the food. So successful was said chef, that the restaurant (a steakhouse) has generated buzz amongst the Miami foodie community. And so we heard and--between the fact it is two blocks from our apartment and we wanted a swanky dinner for our 10th anniversary--went. Cocktails: Lauren began with a tequila based drink with habanero called Smoke and Tears. Excellent and surprisingly spicy. A challenge for her to work through. Hi Uncle Steve, Least you think that there is any correlation between the quality of an establishment and the length of time it takes me to write a review, let me dispel them. In late March, I had the pleasure of taking a quick jaunt out to Breckenridge, Colorado for a ski trip with my sister. On my first day out, while still waiting for her arrival, I had the pleasure of visiting Après Handcrafted Libations, whose drinks are as good as its name is long. ... It's always difficult to write a review for what is essentially a bar (and for things that are bars). It is necessarily a subset of what I generally write about and, as such, has a far more limited vocabulary and well of experience from which to draw upon. And I don't think, for Après, I'll even bother trying to review the cocktail the bartender improvised for me (other than to say it was an old fashioned with maple syrup and four kinds of house-made bitters, including their famous and tongue-tingling ha...
